Snapshots

Planting has began in Northern Iowa!
On our farm we raise pigs, and care for them every day. We often move the smaller pigs into a separate pen. The smaller pigs are given a different feed ration with the nutrients they need.

Australian Adventures-My study abroad experience during my Freshmen year of college.
Weekends home are always my favorite, I always love time spent in the tractor helping my dad and learning agriculture hands on.
Showing others my passion for the pork industry is always a blast! At Iowa State the Block and Bridle Club holds a showmanship contest that allows people unfamiliar with showing livestock to learn how to by someone who has.

This year I was fortunate to teach Abrah the ropes of showing!
Ever wonder what happens to the manure that pigs produce? Farmers apply manure that is supplied with nitrogen and phosphorus nutrients to their fields to produce better grain yields.

Spending the summer showing pigs has always been a highlight. It's taught Brielle and I so much about responsibility, money management and has also allowed us to meet people across Iowa.
